Two things are really wrong with United – removing the ability of staff to make sensible decisions, and that lots of people who have flown United have their own horror story. And they are sharing them. Me included.

The AA new First Class lounge has a contemporary feel but the food offerings have been reduced.
The enhanced food service on the BA flight to JFK, is certainly a step up from BA’s normal offerings.

‘The other’ Hyatt in Melbourne is the Park Hyatt – with its Grand Club, it’s worth a visit. Although not located as centrally as the Grand Hyatt, it has a feeling all of its own.
The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne is excellent – worth using points to upgrade if you don’t get access in my view.
A bit of abuse from the parent of two kids upset me more than I would have imagined.
My flight from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne in Etihad First Class was superb. Enjoy.
A lot of people rate the First Class Lounge at Abu Dhabi operated by Etihad. Personally I was a little disappointed.
