It had been a good travel day until we were bussed to the plan on hottest day of the year, took a thirty minute delay and were then told that there was no food. Another day on British Airways it seems.

Kuwait flight from JFK diverts to Heathrow
A state of emergency was called on Kuwait Airlines overnight flight from JFK. Turning around over Europe it landed at Heathrow, although there were plenty of closer diversion airports. Why the plane didn’t go to Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels or Frankfurt is unknown.

BA terminal changes at Heathrow
Heathrow’s Terminal 1 closes for business next week and BA is moving its few remaining flights to other terminals on the 30th June. In October, several long haul destinations switch from T5 to T3. Yours?

The United diversion to Belfast costs $500,000
A recent United Airlines flight was diverted to Belfast, costing the airline $500,000, due to a disruptive passenger demanding snacks shortly after takeoff. The incident resulted in the captain dumping 50,000 litres of fuel and left passengers stranded overnight at the airport. The passenger, Jeremiah Mathias Thede, was arrested and is set to appear in court next week.
