The Amazon web site pretty much lets you buy anything you like. Amex has now partnered with amazon.co.uk to allow UK members to use their points on savings at the online retailer. Not terribly good value, but you seem to be able to use any amount you wish to redeem. No need to match to the nearest 500 or 1000 points.
