Has Hyatt screwed up its iOS app?
I have long liked the simplicity of the Hyatt app for iPhone, iPad etc. However, the recent upgrade seems to have rendered it almost unusable and certainly unstable.

Hyatt periodically offers sales and this one, for multi-night stays at a good number of properties, is decent. I’ve checked a couple of properties and the sale is real, in that it beats the normal best price. Check the list and see if you need to change any of your rates.
Hilton offers a straightforward way to access discounts of 15-20% through its MVP program, allowing travelers to save without needing corporate affiliation. Additionally, the Citi Prestige credit card provides a unique “4th night free” benefit for hotel stays booked through Citi Concierge, enhancing savings further.
I don’t recall the last time that I stayed at a large hotel that was actually sold out. My Memorial Day weekend in Honolulu at the Hyatt Regency was exactly that, and whilst I didn’t score the customary room upgrade, it served as a reminder that sometimes you get what you pay for, and that’s not too bad.
You can score extra savings on Hilton Summer Sale by joining the TopCashBack site and earning a rebate for booking via their web site links. 14% on the already discounted summer sale rates at Hilton is pretty good and of course the rebate can be taken as Avios or Tesco Clubcard points if you don’t want the cash.
The old Radisson at LAX has become a Hyatt affiliate hotel and so earns stay credits with Gold Passport, my must have frequent stay scheme. A last minute booking secured both a great rate and a good upgrade to a suite on the top floor. The hotel does a great job at protecting you from aircraft noise and run a good shuttle to and from the airport. Well worth considering if you need a stay in the LAX area.
Running a free shuttle to and from JFK makes this property typical of those at JFK. That it is slightly better than average is an indication of how poor the other options are here. A review of the Executive Club at the Hilton is included.
A solid hotel located on the Bath Road at Heathrow, within the free travel zone, offers a reasonable stay.
A short stay at a standard Premier Inn, this time at Southampton Airport, reminded me how decent this chain is.
The Grand Hyatt New York, for the longest time the chains only property in Manhattan, is a large, typically convention hotel. However, its refurbishment has been done well and it is starting to become a great place to stay. Despite confusion about my room, the staff were helpful and the Grand Club excellent.
Significant changes to reward levels have been (quietly) announced by Club Carlson. Some are going from 44,000 to 70,000 points per night, and coupled with the removal of the 2-for-1 offer for US credit card holders, it pretty reduces the value of the awards at high end properties to nothing.
‘Exclusive’ is such a hard word to understand, at least it appears so in the marketing department at Starwood.
