American Airlines has announced the introduction of a Premium Economy cabin on its international fleet of wide-body aircraft, marking a historic first for a U.S. carrier. Set to debut on the 787-9 Dreamliners in late 2016, this new offering will feature enhanced seating, entertainment, and dining options, along with additional perks like priority boarding and an extra checked bag. The airline plans to retrofit its entire international wide-body fleet over the next three years, excluding the retiring 767s.
